Bow Valley College created In the Workplace: An Intermediate Integrated Skills Textbook. The textbook:
- has a focus on the workplace
- gives you practice in the four main language skills - listening, speaking, reading, and writing
- helps you learn about some aspects of workplace culture
- helps you develop some important essential skills
- can be used as an online textbook with interactive activities or downloaded, printed and used as a regular textbook

- helps learners learn about intercultural skills
- helps learners develop some important essential skills
- can be used as an online textbook with interactive activities or downloaded, printed and used as a regular textbook
Let's Learn English - Level 1 is a new course for English learners. Certified American English teachers designed the course for beginners. The course continues for 52 weeks. Each week, there will be a new lesson with video showing the lives of young Americans. The lesson includes instruction in speaking, vocabulary and writing. There are also printable worksheets, assessments and lesson plans for individual learners and English teachers. We encourage you to follow the weekly lessons and share your progress with us through comments and email.
This course was developed by Athabasca University in Canada, an e-learning pioneer, and it is now in the forefront in the development of mobile learning (mLearning). This course consists of 72 units and gives a basic overview of the English language, grammar and verb-tenses. It is designed by Dr. James O'Driscoll who is best known for his Penguin series of English grammar books that are still among the most frequently borrowed from British Council libraries around the world.
